Dr.Murhari Sopanrao Kele, born on 10th March 1966, in very small draught affected un-electrified village named Kelewadi, Tal: Bhoom in Osmanabad district of Maharashtra. He is one of the leading expert & analysts in power distribution sector. He is multidimensional personality having multidisciplinary academic record with mastered qualifications in Technical, Managerial, 
Legal, Financial, Communication, Regulatory, Auditing & Research on Power sector reforms. He is having total field experience in power distribution sector of 27 Years from private as well as in Public Sector.
He is graduate in Electrical Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering, Aurangabad. He has not his education here. He has done MBA(Marketing) , LL.B from Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Bachelor of Journalism from Lokmanya Tilak Open University Pune, ACPDM from IGNOU, Delhi, DCM from CEDTI, Aurangabad, Energy Auditor from Bureau of Energy Efficiency, New Delhi & done his PhD research work from Rashtra Saint Tukdoji Maharaj University, Nagpur.
Dr. Kele is prolific writer in two languages- Marathi & English. He has authored or edited seven books, five in Marathi & two in English. He has written more than 10 research papers & hundreds of articles in Marathi in various newspapers, magazines & Diwali special editions. On his name there are various reports related with issues in Power distribution sector.
Dr.Kele’s book named “Jagi Aisa Baap Vahwa”, biography of his father is very famous book, which is translated in English & Kannada language & has awarded by more than 10 institutions. One edited book ‘Jagi Aisa Baap Vahwa- Sandarbha Ani Samiksha’ was based on critical analysis of Dr.Kele’s book. Articles were written by more than 30 eminent writers in four languages i.e. in Marathi, Hindi, English & Sanskrit.
He has done research on very important subject of ‘Power Distribution Franchisee i.e. PPP Model in Power Sector’ which is unique work in Indian Power Sector. No any literature was available on that innovative concept introduced first time in Power Sector. On this subject of power distribution franchisee, these books were first ever analytical books in India. His two books are published by National Power training Institute, Faridabad (Ministry of Power).
He is affiliated with Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. He is on Board of Stu
dies of Management Science from Dr.BAMU. Under his able guide ship two students are perusing their PhDs from Marathwada University. He is also connected with various social, technical, cultural, spiritual, literature related institutions. He is celebrated public figure recipient of as many as 15 nos of awards for his outstanding work in above fields for enrichment of society.
He has played role of ‘Rahim Chacha’ in Marathi Movie named “Mala Aai Pahije” (I want Mother) in produced & directed by Mankarna Films released in December 2015. He is member of ‘Akhil Bhartiya Chitrapat Mahamandal & Indian Film Writers’ Association, Mumbai.
He has started his career in private industry M/s Garware Plastics & Polyester Limited, Aurangabad. Then he joined Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) as Junior Engineer at Chiplun Dist: Ratnagiri & worked as Assistant Engineer, Deputy Executive Engineer, Executive Engineer, Superintending Engineer, Chief Engineer & Executive Director’s Posts at various places viz. Chiplun, Guhagar, Khed, Bhiwandi, Mumbai, Pen, Nagpur & again in Mumbai. Currently Dr.Murhari Kele is working as a Director (Technical) in Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company Limited, Indore.
